What you lose, and what nothing reports
A product that is “in stock” with only XS and XL left still counts as available. Nothing turns red: the sale simply does not happen.
Meanwhile the missing size is asleep in the warehouse, or in the one store that will end up discounting it. Allocator works on that gap, and on nothing else — it buys nothing and it forecasts nothing.

Every line says what it is for
A review is a list you go through, where each line says what it is for. It is also what you answer when a store calls.
Broken size — this product sells ≈ 2.4 a week here, this size is at zero, and it is ≈ 18% of its sales in this store.
Capped by warehouse stockExample line, figures for illustration. A store can say no to a line before it ships — the refusal is kept, struck, with a name and a time.

- Read — sales, stock and locations, from Shopify.
- Propose — the week’s list, line by line, each with its reason.
- Review — accept, change or decline; a store can say no before it ships. Nothing leaves without it.
- Execute — a native Shopify transfer per destination store.
- Receive — planned, shipped, received, and the gaps.
- Measure — 30 days after the goods actually arrive, at the price collected — or nothing.

A customer wants the 38 and it is not there
The sales assistant opens the tile in Shopify POS, sees who has it and what the warehouse holds, and offers a delivery instead of losing the sale. No head-office account, nothing to install at the till.
A printed pick list rides on the carton with a QR code. The store scans it and sees what is coming and why — no account, nothing to install.

One plan. We chose to bill per location.
Monthly, billed by Shopify. The warehouse is never billed. You get 14 days of full Allocator access from installation, with no plan required. Choose a plan during that period and Shopify billing can start as soon as you approve it.

Stores with no sale in the last 30 days are not billed. Control stores are deducted — you designate them, in Settings. The app tells you why, store by store.

What people ask first
Do you have customer references?
No, and here is why. We publish nothing aggregated outside the app until ≥ 10 merchants contribute — that is a clause of our data processing agreement, and the rule lives in the code, not in an intention. Below it, a figure describes those merchants, not the engine.
Does it replace Stocky?
No, and we are not building that. Allocator decides where the stock you already own should go. Shopify stays the system of record.
Does it work with five stores? With two?
It is built for ≥ 5 to ≤ 9 stores and one central warehouse. Below that, the arbitration is still reasonable to do by hand.
Can my web stock be emptied into the stores?
No. You set a web floor per reference in Settings, and the warehouse is never drawn below it. Leaving it at 0 is a choice the app names, not a default it hides.

Installing it commits you to nothing
- 9 permissions, all read-only — you see them on Shopify’s authorisation screen before installing, and by name on the Install page.
- Writing a transfer is a separate, optional permission, asked the first time you click Create transfers — and Shopify asks you at that moment.
- 14 days of full Allocator access start at installation, with no plan required. If you choose a plan sooner, Shopify billing can start as soon as you approve it. Shipping days are a setting per store.
